5 Months of Marriage with 5 Lessons of Love

Reflecting on 5 months of marriage and 5 lessons on love:

♥︎Love is dedication, choosing each other daily amidst chaos. Love goes beyond feelings, demanding sacrifice but with the ultimate reward.

♥︎Love is a choice, not just a feeling—rooted in Christ’s unconditional love. Where it is good to feel love, feelings are fleeting and can be deceitful. Love isn’t just an emotion; it’s a commitment rooted in God’s call to love, not in the worthiness of the beloved (1 John 4:19).

♥︎Love is grace and truth, shaping us into better versions of ourselves. I am thankful God uses Payton as vessel to make me the best version of myself and complete me in ways I didn’t even know I needed until I met him!

♥︎Marriage can be a gift, a tangible piece of God’s love on earth. I actually prefer the term sole mate instead of soulmate, despite how it’s spelled in this video. A sole mate walks beside us as we embody biblical love, epitomized in John 15:13.

♥︎Love is freedom, finding peace in being accepted as authentically ourselves. It brings joy knowing that someone can choose to accept and embrace us for who we are, flaws and all. In the embrace of genuine love, we find the space to flourish and grow.

Happy Valentine’s Day! Let’s do all things in love<3
